New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested. According to sources, the AAP leader was arrested after being questioned in the excise case. Enforcement Directorate officials reached the Prime Minister’s residence in Delhi on Thursday evening. It is said that the ED officials have gone to question the excise case where Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is in jail.
Earlier, the Central Intelligence Agency issued summons to the Delhi Chief Minister 9 times, but he did not appear before the questioning. It was only after his absence that senior ED officials appeared with search warrants. Heavy police has been deployed outside Kejriwal’s residence since Thursday night.
UP top leaders and supporters reached there after getting the news of ED attack. And started to protest. According to sources, ED seized Kejriwal’s phone, tab and laptop during the interrogation. However, no information was immediately provided in this regard.

Arvind Kejriwal had earlier appealed to the High Court that no strict action should be taken against him in the excise case. The court rejected that request. Finally, the UP leader was arrested.
Incidentally, after the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party decided to approach the Supreme Court in the excise case. Delhi Education Minister and AAP leader Atishi Marlena X said that.

ED has earlier arrested Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh in Delhi in connection with Excise corruption. After that, the Central Investigation Agency summoned Chief Minister Kejriwal.
