Hasan Ali: In the matter of defamation law 2024, a delegation of journalistic organizations met Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeemur Rehman.
Apart from this, Central General Secretary Amirul Azim and Central Information Secretary Qaiser Sharif were also present in the meeting.
Journalist representatives informed the Joint Action Committee on the Defamation Bill, noting that the government was not consulting any media organisations. Before approving the bill, the Joint Implementation Committee presented its concerns to the government.
