The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training has decided to establish sixteen state-of-the-art IT laboratories in Islamabad’s educational institutions with the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
SIFC was established to attract investment from friendly countries in identified sectors through a mandated organization that acts as a single window platform to facilitate, and potentially leverage through a whole of government approach Improves ease of doing business for automobiles.
In these modern IT laboratories, the young people will get to learn modern skills that will increase their employment opportunities. These IT labs will be built in sixteen degree colleges located in different areas of Islamabad.

In these IT labs, students will be given six-month courses in blockchain, data science, artificial intelligence (AI) and game development.
These courses are developed by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission in collaboration with renowned universities like NUST, National Skills University, COMSATS and NUML. These courses will start in the second week of this month. Around 3600 students are registered for these courses.
