A special court in Pune will deliver its final verdict on May 10 in the murder case of social activist Narendra Devholkar. Special Public Prosecutor Prakash Suryavanshi gave this information on Thursday.

Devholkar was shot dead by two motorcycle-borne assailants on August 20, 2013. He then went for a morning walk on Omkareshwar Bridge. Special Public Prosecutor Suryavanshi said, during today’s hearing, additional special sessions judge A.A. Jadhav on May 10 to deliver the judgment in the case.

Pune police have opened an investigation into the murder case. But in 2014 the case was transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

CBI has arrested Virendra Singh Tauda, ​​Sachin Andura and Sharad Kalaskar in this case. Taoda was reportedly related to Santhan Sanstha. While Andorra and Clasar were allegedly the shooters. Apart from these three, CBI filed a chargesheet in 2019 against lawyer Sanjeev Punalkar and his assistant Vikram Bhava.

The CBI has also filed a chargesheet against the accused under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). Tauda, ​​Endor and Kalaskar are in prison. While Punalkar and Bhava are out on bail.
