A video of Congress MP Jeevan Reddy is going viral on social media. In it Reddy is allegedly seen slapping an elderly woman. However, Congress MP candidate from Nizamabad Reddy gave the clarifications. He gestured and said he caressed the woman lovingly. At the same time, the elderly woman accused him of defamation.

The elderly woman said she was being slandered.
The elderly woman seen in the alleged viral video said, ‘I don’t have a house and I don’t have a pension either. I told him (Jivan Reddy) please have mercy on me. Then he promised me saying that you will get Dorsani (queen).
The peasant woman said, ‘Now they show that I have been slapped. Doesn’t that discredit me? Let us tell you, the voting for the Lok Sabha elections will be held in Telangana on May 13.
Gave clarification about the video
Congress MP Jeevan Reddy has given clarification on the viral video of alleged slapping. He said it was just love. While lovingly caressing the journalist’s cheek, he said it wasn’t a slap, it was just a kiss.
