Omprakash Bidhuri has been in the Congress for almost 30 years. He has also contested MLA election from Tughlakabad assembly seat in 2013.

Delhi Congress leader Omprakash Bidhuri resigned from the party on Thursday. He said there were many reasons for leaving the Congress. The biggest reason among them is the alliance of Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi. Thousands of Congress workers are not happy with this alliance.

Bidhuri said, “Aam Aadmi Party has come to power by calling Congress and its leaders corrupt and thieves. The alliance with AAP is against the sentiments of Congress workers. Bidhuri said he has no plans to join any political party at the moment Not there.

Om Prakash Bidhuri has been in the Congress for almost 30 years. He had contested MLA election from Tughlakabad assembly seat in the year 2013. He has also held the post of General Secretary of the State Congress.

3 leaders resign in two days in relation to alliance with AAP

Bidhuri is the third leader to quit the Congress in the last two days, angry over the alliance with AAP. Before him (Wednesday) on May 1, former members of parliament Neeraj Basoya and Naseeb Singh had resigned from the Congress.

Delhi Congress President Arvinder Singh Lovely also resigned from his post on May 28. Lovely had written a letter to the party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge. In a 4 page letter, he wrote – The Delhi Congress is against the alliance with the party, which was formed on the basis of making false, false and malicious allegations of corruption against the party.

The AAP is contesting 4 out of 7 Lok Sabha seats in Delhi, the Congress on 3.

There are 7 Lok Sabha seats in Delhi. Under the alliance, the AAP is contesting on 4 seats and the Congress on 3 seats. The Congress has fielded JP Aggarwal from Chandni Chowk, Kanhaiya Kumar from North East Delhi and Udit Raj from North West Delhi. Polling will take place in the sixth phase in Delhi on May 25.

BJP won all seven seats in 2019

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had won all the seven seats in Delhi. All the BJP candidates got more than 50 percent of votes, while the Congress slipped to second place and the ruling Aam Aadmi Party to third place.

In the triangular contest, the BJP was ahead of the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress with a huge number of votes in each seat. BJP had got more than 56 percent votes. While Congress got 22.5 percent votes and AAP got 18.1 percent votes. In 2014, the BJP got 46.4 percent of votes.
