A clash broke out between BJP and TMC workers in East Midnapore, West Bengal. The clash started during the nomination rally of the BJP candidate from the Tamluk Lok Sabha seat. Former Calcutta High Court Judge Justice Abhijit Gangupadhyay is contesting from this constituency as a BJP candidate.

BJP leader in West Bengal Subhandu Adhikari said: “All the citizens have taken to the streets in the name of Prime Minister Modi. Everyone is ready to press the button on the lotus. The candidates from here will win 2.5 thousand votes.”
