Clash breaks out between student groups at Gahati University over CAA implementation Achi-News

Guwahati: Tension flared in Guwahati University as a clash broke out between members of the Guwahati University Students’ Union and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).

The confrontation happened outside the BKB auditorium.

About 150 students from the Guwahati University Students’ Union protested against the CAA at around 10 am, when members of the ABVP held a program in the auditorium, according to a Guwahati University source.

Speaking to GPlus the source said, "The clash started when an ABVP member used disrespectful language towards the protesting students around 1:00 pm when asked to apologise, they refused and started dropping banners. The ABVP had about 500 members while the Gehati University student group had about 150 students."

"At least 6 students were injured in the collision"added the source.
