The village of Bodega, located across the Indravati River in this region, is still trapped in the red shadow of the Naxalites and the shackles of unrest in independent India. The villagers have been quenching their thirst by drinking water from these sources for the past few years.

The village depends on Gonia, not on a hospital
The villagers said that there is no hospital in the village. The villagers depend on Sira-gunya. If someone gets sick, first of all they take him to a stench and receive local treatment. If the situation worsens then the cradle is turned upside down and does a knoor.

Then, after laying the patient on it, they cross the river on foot, through forest paths and by boat and take them to Bhairamgarh Hospital. Many villagers also died due to lack of treatment.

There is no electricity in this village located between forests and mountains. Although the villagers have installed solar panels in one or two houses of the village near the Indravati River, most of the houses remain dark at night. Nameless school, poor quality of education
Some children in the village worked with school uniforms. Some played. When we asked the members of his family and the residents of his village is there a school in Bodja village? On this, says a young man named Motu, there is definitely a school in the nearby village, but it is also in name only.

The teacher didn’t come. Children go to work. The level of education is zero. The biggest example of this is that two brothers went to work as laborers with tendos. While returning, he died after being hit by an explosive device explosion.

Naxalites are protesting against the construction of a road in the village
It is said that the greatest medium for development is a road, but there is no road in this village. The second reason for this is that the Naxals oppose the construction of roads in the village. The villagers said in hushed tones that they did not even want a bridge across the Indravati River.

The administration must make such arrangements that we can travel easily on rainy days. Also on the issue of roads, the villagers said that the arrangements should be such that an ambulance would arrive in the village.

There is only a nominal school in the nearby village. The teacher didn't come. Children go to work.

Don’t vote because it’s not allowed
When we asked the villagers, do you vote? So the villagers fell silent. One of them indicated that voting was prohibited. His reference was to the Naxalites. From there the Naxals refuse. He said there are Naxalites there. We will not be able to send a doctor to the village. Efforts will be made to set up a medical camp somewhere nearby. For water, I approved hundreds of hand pumps for the entire district. The collector said you should not become a means to their problems. If necessary, they will come themselves.
