The Congress party held protests across the country on Saturday and accused the central government of killing democracy and spreading “tax terror”. On the first day of the two-day protest, Congress leaders raised slogans against the central government and the Income Tax Department at the state headquarters Sadkat Ashram. Demonstrations were held in all the district headquarters. The income tax department had sealed the Congress party’s account last month. By issuing a notice two days ago, an order was given to deposit 1823 million rupees separately.
In protest at this, the All India Congress Committee held a two-day protest.
