Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) has said that cement sales decreased by 0.29% in April 2024.
According to the announcement issued by APCMA of Karachi, 29 lakh 43 thousand tons of cement were sold in April 2024.
According to the announcement, cement sales in April 2023 were 29 lakh 51 thousand metric tons. In April 2024, domestic sales of cement were 23 tons and 28 thousand metric tons.
According to the statement, the export of cement in April 2024 was 6 lakh 14 thousand metric tons.
According to the APCMA statement, the total consumption of cement during the first 10 months of the financial year was 3 crore 74 lakh metric tonnes. Compared to the first 10 months of FY2023, consumption this year was 2.45 percent higher.
According to the APCMA statement, the government should focus on the cement industry in next year’s budget.
According to an APCMA spokesperson, cement is essential for construction and construction for economic development. Supplying low cost cement to the consumer will be beneficial.
