5 thousand is fine
A fine of Rs 5,000 has been imposed on a woman who was washing a car with Cauvery water in Sadashivnagar. In Dollars Colony, Mahadevpur, two persons were fined on the spot by Jalmandal officials.

Jalmandal has already directed not to waste Cauvery water. It was suggested not to use Cauvery water for car washing, flower garden. Penalty has been imposed for using Cauvery water for washing cars despite warning.
