Hyderabad (Newsdesk) During the auction for vehicle registration numbers in India, a special number plate was auctioned for lakhs of rupees.
According to a foreign news organization report, different people placed bids at the auction ceremony of a special number of financial registration plate in the city of Hyderabad in the Indian state of Telangana.
The highest bidder for the said number ‘9999’ fetched Rs 25,50,002 from a businessman from Hyderabad who paid for the registration plate ‘TG 09 9999’.

Eleven people participated in the fancy number auction held yesterday and the number was sold for Rs 25.5 lakh, the highest bid for a fancy number so far.
After the news, social media was in an uproar with users commenting for and against it, some calling it ridiculous, some calling it a waste of money to spend on something “insignificant ” as a simple number plate
