The recruitment process for the position of police officer in the central paramilitary forces is in question. Surprisingly, 60 ineligible candidates were declared fit in the medical examination. This matter was clarified in the medical done at the time of joining. A preliminary investigation was conducted. ADG Medical of CAPF found this case to be true. He sent his report to the Union Home Office. Doctors of many forces including CRPF have come on the radar. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the Ministry of the Interior issued orders for a ‘Court of Inquiry’.
According to reliable sources, this matter is related to Constable GD Recruitment 2018. In that recruitment, there were 60 candidates who were medically ineligible, but proved fit in the exam. Of these, 17 youths received medical treatment by CRPF doctors. The special thing is that out of 17 candidates, seven were selected for CRPF. The other candidates were assigned other powers. For the purpose of completing this medical procedure, 16 Medical Officers/CMOs of CRPF have been deputed. Candidates who were declared fit by a medical examination were found to be unfit at the time of joining. Medical Officer, Senior Medical Officer/CMO, Group Center ‘GC’ of CRPF have worked in many other Group Centers including Pune and Nagpur.
As Dr. Sushil Kumar, SMO GC Pune, did the medical treatment of Yuvraj Gokul. He was found fit in the detailed medical examination (DME) conducted on 8th February 2020. When the medical was done again at the time of joining during March 2021, Yuvraj Gokul was found unfit .This medical procedure was conducted at CRPF GC. The young man was suffering from ‘scoliosis of the thoracic spine’, however, he was not declared unfit in the ‘detailed medical examination’.
