The Supreme Court on Wednesday said it cannot control elections or give directions just because doubts have been raised about the effectiveness of electronic voting machines (EVMs). The Supreme Court reserved its decision on several petitions filed regarding EVMs. In these petitions it is claimed that the voting equipment can be tampered with in order to influence the election results.
