The ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal suffered another blow from the Calcutta High Court on Wednesday. The Supreme Court canceled all the OBC certificates in the country issued by the Trinamool government. The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday said that certificates canceled after the judgment cannot be used in any employment process.

As a result of this High Court order, about five lakh OBC certificates were cancelled. However, the High Court also said that the users of this certificate who have already got the opportunity will not be affected by this decision.

However, the Calcutta High Court on Wednesday did not specifically mention the Trinamool government. The court said that all OBC certificates issued after 2010 will be cancelled. Incidentally, the Trinamool Congress has been in power in the state since 2011. As a result, the court order will be valid only on OBC certificates issued during the Trinamool era.

The Calcutta High Court says that all OBC confirmations made after 2010 were not properly done under the law. Therefore, that certificate should be canceled, but at the same time the High Court of Justice said that this will not have any effect on those people who have already received a job using this certificate or are in the process of working. Other people will no longer be able to use this certificate in the employment process.

Mamta Banerjee expressed displeasure

Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said today too I heard a judge pass an order, which was quite famous. The Prime Minister says that minorities will take the reservation, can it ever happen? Minorities can never touch reservation or tribal reservation but these mischievous people (BJP) are doing their work through agencies, they have given orders through someone but I will not accept this view. Whoever gave the order should keep it with himself, we will not accept BJP’s opinion. OBC order continues and will always continue.
