Bodgam: District administration Bodgam organized a farewell function for the outgoing SSP Bodgam, Al-Tahir Gilani on his transfer and welcomed Nikhil Burkar on assuming the post as new SSP Bodgam.
In this regard, a farewell function was held at Dak Bunglow, here, where Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Akshay Labroo appreciated the outgoing SSP for his cooperation and coordination in maintaining law and order situation in Budgam
The DC praised him for his excellent work in all fields and appreciated him for his remarkable contribution to the civil-police coordination in the district.
The DC said outgoing SSP is the shining example of a gentleman, efficient and successful police officer.
The DC further said that he will always remember the outgoing SSP as his wise advisor on various important matters of the district.
ADC Budgam, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah, ASP Budgam, Ragav S were among the other officers who wished both new and outgoing SSPs for their new assignments.
The officers from the Civil and Police Administration also spoke at the event and appreciated that the outgoing SSP will be remembered for his humility and friendly approach to employees and the public during his tenure as SSP Budgam.
Speaking on the occasion, the new SSP Budgam, Nikhil Burkar said that he will do his best to meet the expectations of the general public.
Address to gathering,. Outgoing SSP Budgam thanked DC Budgam and all senior officers of the civil and police administration for their support throughout his tenure.
He emphasized that the coordination between the Civil Administration and the police was a major factor in maintaining the peaceful situation in the district.
CPO Budgam, ACR, SDMs. SDPO and other officials were also present at the event.
