104 died in 165 accidents
Similarly, accidents occur due to wrong construction of National Highway and non-construction of under bridge on Sendri Bypass Road. After collecting data on accidents that occurred during the year on the four main roads in the city, it was found that within a radius of 25 kilometers there were 165 accidents involving bicycles, in which 104 were killed and 119 were injured.
The maximum number of 46 accidents occurred on the Bilaspur-Ratanpur road, while the second is on the Bilaspur-Balha road on the National Highway. There were 32 accidents in it. This is followed by the Sipat, Masturi and Kota routes.
More than half of cyclists die in road accidents
The death toll in Bilaspur in a year is 315. Similarly, if we talk about statistics, there were 1344 accidents in a year. In this regard, 26 people die every month in Bilaspur. Every 36 hours one person dies in a car accident. The surprising thing is that most accidents happen because of bicycles. These only occur within a 25 km radius.

Within five years, 1265 people from the district died in road accidents. 645 were seriously injured. Of these, 62 percent, i.e. 822 deaths occurred on black spots, but these were not corrected.
