On the controversial statement of Congress leader Sam Pitroda, Union External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is back. He was referring to the Congress regarding Pitroda’s statement. Jaishankar said Sam Pitroda’s controversial statement cannot be called so. This is the mentality of the Congress party and this statement reflects the mentality of the party people.
Pitroda resigned as president of the Overseas Indian Congress this week after being embroiled in controversy over his statements. In fact, while describing the physical appearance of Indians during a podcast, he mentioned Chinese, African, Arab and white. After his racist comments, Congress was fiercely targeted.
Jaishankar reacted to Pitroda’s statement
In an interview, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar responded to Sam Pitroda’s statement. He said, “I think there was a buzz around him about what he said. It was shared by the people he’s hosting. I think there were two parts to it. The first was that you said typecasting and racial stereotyping. I think it bothers me, you know, what that comment means For many different people it took some effort to bring them all together and create India, it’s even more disturbing.
