New Delhi, Leading News Service: The Delhi BJP staged strong protests on Thursday (May 9) against the statement of former Indian Overseas Congress president Sam Pitroda. At this time, slogans were raised that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi should apologize. BJP Delhi state President Virendra Sachdeva, MP Ramesh Bidhudi along with BJP officials and activists were present during the demonstration. Meanwhile, he was detained by the Delhi Police after some time.

Sam Pitroda’s statement about the diversity of Indians across the country was discussed. BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, strongly criticized Pitroda’s statement. BJP protested strongly against Pitroda’s statement in Delhi. This time, BJP Delhi state president Virendra Sachdeva, MP Ramesh Bidhudi along with BJP workers raised slogans against Congress and Pitroda. During the protest, placards were seen asking Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Sam Pitroda to apologize to the country as well.

Protesting Sam Pitroda’s statement, BJP Delhi state president Virendra Sachdeva said, “Congress has hatched a conspiracy to divide this country. India’s strength is its cultural diversity, unity and integrity. By criticizing it with racism, Congress has tried to weaken the entire country..We demand an apology from Rahul Gandhi, he has insulted all Indians.’
