Along with the Lok Sabha, assembly elections will be held in Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, former chief minister and Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu reiterated the promise of giving four percent reservation to the Muslim community in the state. The special thing is that this statement of Naidu came when earlier PM Modi had said in an election rally in Zahirabad, Telangana that he will not give reservation quota of Dalits, Tribals and OBCs to Muslims on the basis of religion. It is noteworthy that Chandrababu Naidu is contesting Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the state along with BJP and Jansana. Even in the recently released joint manifesto of NDA, there is no mention of four percent reservation for Muslims.

NDA will fly the flag on 160 seats

Speaking to reporters in Dharmavaram, Andhra, Naidu said that we support four percent reservation for Muslims from the beginning. This too will continue. He said that people in Andhra are angry with the YSR and Congress. There is a wave here against them. He claimed that his party would win both elections in the country. He claims that the NDA will win 24 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state. At the same time, the NDA flag will fly over 160 assembly seats.

Earlier, while interacting with the Muslim community, Naidu said that once the NDA comes to power in the state, financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh will be given to every Muslim going to Makkah on Hajj pilgrimage.

NDA’s seat distribution formula in the state is as follows

Talking about the seat distribution of the parties included in the NDA, BJP will contest six Lok Sabha seats and 10 assembly seats. Apart from this, TDP will field its candidate in 17 Lok Sabha and 144 Assembly seats. Apart from BJP and TDP, Jansana, who is part of the alliance, will contest the elections for two Lok Sabha seats and 21 assembly seats in the state.
