Now the air quality will also be tested in Govindpura area of ​​Bhopal. Here the Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board (MPPCB) is preparing to install a Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring System. The estimated cost is Rs 1.30. After this, there is now air pollution in 4 areas in the city.

Earlier this system was installed in TT Nagar, Environment Complex and Kohefiza. After installing the fourth system, Bhopal will be the first city in the state, where there are 4 live monitoring systems. After this it will be Gwalior’s turn. Where three systems are installed.
According to Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board officials, being an industrial area, a continuous ambient air quality monitoring system is required in Govindpura. However, no location has been specified yet. A year and a half ago, a study was carried out at 35 points in the city.

MPPCB Regional Manager Brajesh Sharma said – Our ongoing effort to install Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring systems wherever manual reading is done in the city, currently our efforts are going on for Govindpura area. Discussions are ongoing regarding this.
An environmentalist said – we need 20 living systems
Environmentalist Subhash C Pandey said at least 20 continuous ambient air quality monitoring systems are needed in the capital. There is no direct formula for this. But if it is placed in sensitive areas within a radius of five km, then it will be useful in measuring AQI. This mainly includes Lalghati Square, Kolar and Chunabhatti, MP Nagar Square, Ashoka Garden, Nehru Nagar Square, Bima Kunj, Hoshangabad Road, Karond Square, Bhopal Talkies, Royal Market, Hamidia Road etc.
