A Mumbai court has extended the police custody of Bhabesh Bhind, the owner of the company whose treasures fell in Ghatkopar. Bhinde will now remain in police custody till May 29. It is worth noting that on May 13, a large hoarding fell during the storm and rain in Jetkoper, Mumbai. 17 people died in the accident.
The accused fled after the incident
Bhinde’s advertising company M/s Ego Media Private Limited managed the collections. Bhind fled after the incident. The police registered a case of culpable homicide against him under section 304. On May 16, the third day of the incident, the police arrested the accused from Udaipur, Rajasthan. The police presented him in court, from where he was remanded until May 26.
The crime branch investigating the case produced Bhinde before the Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court on Sunday. During this period, the court extended his detention and sent him to custody until May 29. The police say that they are interrogating the accused to find out how many other hoardings his company is managing. The financial aspect is also being investigated.
