There is a shortage of drinking water especially in Bangalore. There is a cry for work from home as during Covid-19. They also say to start an online class.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has received several requests through social media to make it mandatory for Bengalurus to work from home for IT companies. CM was asked to allow schools to operate online. Bengaluru residents and various resident groups have said that if the online working model worked during Covid-19, it would work during the water crisis as well, Mint reported.

“With sunny days and severe water crisis in Bengaluru city and no major rain till this month, it’s high time Karnataka Govt considers work from home option till monsoon starts,” tweeted a group of climate enthusiasts.

Pointing out that working from home will allow many residents to return to their hometowns, Bangaloreans have taken to social media to say it will help reduce water demand in the city.
