Bengaluru: A customer has been granted relief by the Mettlery Court against the online food delivery company ‘Swiggy’ for not supplying his desired ice cream. He had ordered ‘Nutty Death by Chocolate’ ice cream from ‘Cream Stone Ice Cream’ restaurant online through the Swiggy app.
However, the Swiggy delivery boy did not deliver to the customer. However, the delivery boy had recorded that he had delivered the ice cream ordered for Rs 187. On the other hand, Swiggy refused to refund the money.

How much is the penalty?
Because of this, the consumer approached the consumer court in Bangalore. The trial court fined Swiggy for the company’s wrongdoing. Ordered to pay Rs 2,000 as legal expenses and Rs 3,000 as compensation along with Rs 187 paid.
