Yes, the government has suggested that the responsibility for garbage disposal in Bangalore should be given to BSWML. In this background, this organization will do garbage collection from June 1.

From June 1, BSWML is responsible for garbage disposal
From June 1, the Bangalore Solid Waste Management Company will manage the entire capital city’s garbage. From 1 June, this organization will collect rubbish from door to door in cars and transport the rubbish to the rubbish treatment plant via tipper trucks. Civilian employees, contract employees working under BBMP, Atta auto, tipper, compactor, drivers, helpers will come under the new agency. They are paid by the company. The state government and BBMP will give grants to the company every year.

Municipal workers are angry with BBMP’s decision
But the municipal workers who clean the streets will remain within the jurisdiction of BBMP. The BBMP Civil Employees Union has triggered this. The corporation has already made the life of the municipal workers miserable by not making the job permanent. The BBMP has expressed its displeasure that the work has now been done by them and is going to make the municipal workers homeless.
