Bengali superstar Dev filed his nomination as Trinamool Congress candidate from Ghatal Lok Sabha constituency. The real name of the TMC candidate, popularly known as Dev, is Deepak Adhikari and he is contesting the elections for the third time in a row. He donated blood in the morning at a camp organized in the area and then filled out his nomination.
After his nomination, Dev said, “Blood banks are facing a crisis. Serving people by donating blood is a great job. I am asking people to also donate blood, not shed blood. Donating blood means saving someone’s life.”
Dev further said that he will plant as many trees as the number of votes he gets in the elections. He appealed to the people to do the same. The TMC candidate said, “This year we have experienced a rise in temperature. For the past few years April has not been so hot. That is why I have started a tree planting campaign. If I get nine lakh votes, I will plant nine lakh trees.” I’ll put it on.”
