Bhaskar Begusarai/Navkothi Team: In the new session, now you can register your children for Navami only on the basis of your residential address. If you live in a city and use a village as your permanent address, then forget the dream of sending your child to a government school in the city. Now your child can be enrolled in panchayat or municipal body schools only on the basis of your address. Following an order from KK Pathak, Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, such children may now face difficulty in registering for the new session. It was known that every year about 80-90 thousand children in the district enroll in the 9th grade after passing the 8th grade. After the new registration orders were issued, many students expressed their pain. Newspaper vendor Prabhu Pandit, a resident of Susa, Santosh Kumar, a student of Lakim etc. said that the condition of the house is not so good. That’s why you have to work in the city. The student said that his school is located far away in an abandoned area of the village. The student said that if he had been enrolled in some school in the city, he would have been able to earn some money alongside his studies. But now he is unable to enroll in any school in the city. Wherever he went to ask, he got the answer that now the enrollment could be done in his panchayat’s school only. Same problem is also with Prabhu Pandit. There is anger among the parents about the order given regarding the registration. About two dozen students studying in Vishnupur Panchayat’s Neerpur Upgraded Middle School from Navkoti block are facing a lot of difficulty in enrolling in high school. This problem exists more or less in many areas also in Maheshwada, Pahsara West, Pahsara East, Dafarpur, Navkoti, Hasanpur Sagar, Razakpur, Vishnupur and Samsa. Parents Basukinath Poddar, Chandan Poddar, Signhan Mahato, Sheela Devi, Sangeeta Devi etc. told that Turkey and Samsa are twin villages, the distance of Saidpur High School is four to five kilometers while the distance of Samsa High School is one kilometer. The department officials should conduct a survey and solve the problem, otherwise it will be difficult for the children to learn. Principal Ganesh Jha, Neeraj Kumar Gautam, Indu Kumari etc. said that registration of students from other panchayats cannot be accepted without the instructions of the senior officer.
