Bajaj Auto India today (May 3) launched its most powerful bike Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z in India. The bike is equipped with features like Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, dual-channel ABS and a switchable traction control system.

The company has kept its ex-showroom price at Rs 1.85 lakh. That price is Rs 45,815 less than the Bajaj Dominar 400 and only Rs 34,171 more than the Pulsar N250, making it the cheapest street naked motorcycle in the 400cc segment.

Booking of the bike has started, interested customers can book it online or by visiting their nearest dealership by paying a nominal fee of Rs 5000. The bike competes with the likes of KTM Duke 390, Triumph Speed 400, TVS Apache RTR 310 and Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 in the sporty 400cc segment.

Pulsar NS400Z: Design
The design of the Pulsar NS400Z is similar to the other models in the Pulsar NS series. At the front of the bike, an LED projector headlamp with Daytime Running Lights (DRL) is provided. The gold colored front forks add premium to the overall look of the bike. The Pulsar NS400Z has a muscular fuel tank and the tank flares are more curved than those of the Pulsar NS200.

The tank has ‘NS’ graphics and has a tank surface like the NS200. To give the bike a sporty look, fake air vents have been provided on the side panels. It has a split seat setup, with a split grab rail for the rear passenger. The tail section gets a sharp design, which is mostly NS200. The bike is available in four color options – Glossy Race Red, Brooklyn Black, Pewter Gray and Pearl Metallic White.

Pulsar NS400Z: Performance
The Pulsar NS400Z has the same 373 cc single-cylinder engine as the Dominar 400, which produces a power of 40 hp at 8800 rpm and a maximum torque of 35 NM at 6500 rpm. It is aimed at a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and assist. The company claims that the bike can run at a top speed of 154 km/h. It has a 12 liter fuel tank.
