Lahore: The final of the Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament between Pakistan and Japan will be played on May 11.
The Pakistan hockey team will play their final pool match in the Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament against New Zealand on Friday.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Hockey Federation has announced the National Junior Hockey Championship from June 25 to prepare for the Junior World Cup. This championship will be held in Rawalpindi.
According to PHF President Tariq Hussain Bugti, along with the seniors, we are also focusing on finding new boys and at junior level, we have done extensive planning for the Junior World Cup scheduled next year.
He said that the talent found in the National Junior Championship will have maximum possible trips abroad with the best training.
Tariq Hussain Bugti said that Pakistan senior team has proved by giving excellent performance in Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament, if the players have full sponsorship, they can go far, and they will ask Prime Minister for PHF funds.
He said that as the president of PHF, I will try to make sure that I can resolve all the issues including the daily allowances of the players.
