Ram Navami Celebration: Ram Navami Celebration is celebrated with devotion all over India today. This is the first important Rama Navami after the installation of Rama Lalla Idol in the city of Ayodhya in January. Everyone is happy celebrating it as a festival. The reward of waiting for almost 500 years today, the temple has been built at the birthplace of Lord Rama.
Surya Tilak is an important part of this celebration
The highlight of the celebration is undoubtedly the Surya Tilak ceremony, as the sun’s rays fall gently on Rama Lalla’s forehead at exactly 12.16 pm.
Along with this 56 delicious foods known as Chappan Bhog are offered to Lord Rama on the last day of Chaitra Navratri.

Acharya Satyendra Das, Chief Priest of Ramjanmabhoomi Temple, said that a precise plan has been made to celebrate Ram Navami with enthusiasm and gaiety.
Surya Tilak by Rama Lalla
The most important of all these rituals is the Surya Tilak ceremony for Lord Rama which starts at 12:16 PM and lasts for five minutes.
What has Nripendra Mishra, President of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee, said about this celebration?
“On Rama Navami, at 12:16 PM the sun’s rays fall on Lord Rama Lalla’s forehead for about 5 minutes. Complex technical arrangements have been made for this.
Scientists have done this work diligently. We are working to showcase this great moment in a grand manner,” said Nripendra Mishra, president of Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti.
Explaining the arrangement, Mishra said, “Precise lenses and mirrors make elaborate use of natural sunlight to create a divine symbol on this auspicious occasion.
The optical path, pipes and front tilting stages are designed without springs for long life and trouble-free handling.”
The management board of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Theertha Kshetra has extended the darshan hours at the revered Sri Rama Lalla temple in Ayodhya.
General Secretary Champat Rai said in a statement that devotees can offer their prayers till 11 pm on Ram Navami.
The festival started with Mangal Aarti with Brahma Muhurta at 3.30 am on April 16. After this rituals like Abhishekam, Sringara, Darshan etc. were performed.
Shringara Aarti was held at 5 am, followed by darshan and puja rituals. On Rama Navami, the temple premises will host Bhog and Shayana Aartis at 11:00 PM.
Surya gave tilak to Rama!
Arrangements are made to distribute prasadam after Shayana Aarti. Champat Rai said that tickets for various services including Sugam Darshan, VIP Darshan, Mangal Aarti, Shringara Aarti and Shayana Aarti will not be issued till April 19 due to the expected crowd.
25 lakh people are expected to come!
It is estimated that 25 lakh devotees will visit Ayodhya in the next three days to have ‘darshan’ of Ram Lalla. Local transport and adequate parking facilities are provided to facilitate their pilgrimage.
