The biennial elections of the Kirandul Contractors Welfare Association, a 92-member contractors’ organization that executes tender works in the civil department of the NMDC Kirandul project, were held on Wednesday.

The voting was done by the contractors in the Contractors Union building starting at 8 am. While Atul Singh won the post of President by defeating his rival Vipul Rai, on the other hand, Hrishankar Mukherjee won the post of Secretary by defeating his rival Bablu Siddiqui. In this election Mangal Kunjam and Navin Rai won the post of Vice President and Krishna Jeevan Shukla and G Aman won the post of Joint Secretary. Babu Rao won the post of Treasurer and Sujit Pillai won the post of Secretary of the Ministry.
