Police rushed to the scene of the serious assault just before midday on Friday.
Police were told that a number of men were involved in the assault, which took place at the Fratton Tesco Extra car park in Fratton Way, Portsmouth, by Waves Hand Car Wash.

This left the victim with a suspected fractured cheekbone.
Police have since arrested five men in connection with this incident.
Three of the men, 30, 36 and 48 from Portsmouth, and a 37-year-old from Southampton were arrested on Friday and released on unconditional police bail pending further enquiries.
A fifth man, aged 34 and from Portsmouth, was arrested on Saturday morning and remains in police custody at this time.
A police spokesman called for witnesses to come forward: “Were you in the area at the time? Did you see what happened? Do you have CCTV images, doorbell footage or dash cams that could assist our officers?
