Naba Sarnia, Member of Parliament from Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency in Assam, on Monday filed his nomination as Gana Suraksha Party candidate from Valmiki Nagar seat. Naba Sarnia arrived at Betiah Collectorate with hundreds of supporters and filed his nomination before the Returning Officer with honors with ADM Rajeev Kumar Singh. After the nomination, when reporters asked why he left Assam and came to contest the election from here, Kukrajhar MP Nabi Kumar Sarnia said that due to some technicalities, his nomination paper from Kukrajhar was cancelled. He already had a desire to work for the people of Valmiki Nagar, so he chose this area.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will contest the elections from Banaras.
