GUWAHATI: Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Assam (DVAC) has nabbed a person on charges of bribery in Gulfra, today May 10.

In today’s operation, Sahar Ali Sikdar, Block Development Officer (in charge) Block Development Block in Gulfra district, was caught red-handed on the premises of his office while allegedly accepting a bribe from a complainant.

The bribe was allegedly requested by Sikdar in exchange for expediting the payment of the pending bills. The officials intervened and caught Sikdar while accepting the illegal payment.
The individual was taken into custody. Waiting for more details.
