According to reports, Additional Solicitor General (ASG) SV Raju, representing the ED, claimed that Kejriwal is not cooperating with the investigation, stating, "Arvind Kejriwal’s conduct was completely uncooperative and he tried to mislead the investigation."

After Kejriwal’s arrest, an argument was first filed before the Supreme Court on March 21, then withdrawn on March 22. The fight for his release began before a Delhi court on March 22, after which a plea was filed before the Delhi High Court challenging his arrest and extension of detention. The Supreme Court refused to grant interim relief on March 27 and asked the ED to respond by April 2.
