God himself came in a dream and informed about the place where (Ancestors Rise) Now the foundation stone of the building of the temple has started in the same place. Such a rare incident happened in Batrabailu of Thekkaru village, Belthangadi taluk in Dakshina Kannada district (Dakshina Kannada News).
Local people used to be enthusiastic about the presence of Sri Gopalakrishna temple in Thekkari 700 years ago. But no one had gone ahead and dug this up. But the foundations of the fort that stood around the Tekkar temple gave evidence of an ancient temple.
Gopalakrishna appeared in a dream!
Laxman from this village had a dream one night. He had dreamed very vividly that the idol of Gopalakrishna was in the same part, in the same direction, in the country next to him. Laxman inquired about this from the villagers.
God had the same answer to the question!
Although there were rumors of a Gopalakrishna temple in that country, no one was so clear. A few years ago, when a question was asked to God, it was known about the presence of a temple in this country.
Who owns the land?
But recently the site of the temple was taken by one of the local residents of the nations. In this background, the people of this part informed MLA Beltangadi Harish Poonja about this matter and on checking the records of the disputed land, it was found that the land is government land.
Search for the remains of the temple
For that, about 25 cents of space was recorded in the Religious Endowment Department. The person who captured the land had thrown the idol of the temple and other things into a well that had been abandoned. As the disputed land is registered in the name of the Religious Endowment Department, the local people searched for the remains of the temple on this land.
I got that idol!
Then in November 2023, while digging the well where the idols were said to have been placed in the well, a stone idol of Gopalakrishna Swamy, said to belong to the 12th century, was found in the well. As the idol of the god was being taken out of the well, the locals who had gathered at the place shared their joy by giving shouts of joy.
Foundation stone for the new temple
Along with 25 cents of land where the temple was, another 70 cents of land was bought. Now the foundation stone has been laid for the construction of a new temple in the same place.
