The Emirates flight from Dubai to Mumbai collided with a flock of birds before landing.
An Emirates Boeing 777 flying from Dubai to Mumbai collided with a flock of birds about 300 meters from the ground, killing at least 36 birds, but the plane managed to land safely at Mumbai airport.
The Emirates spokesman confirmed that the plane landed safely and all passengers and crew are safe.
The spokesman said that the plane was partially damaged in the accident, resulting in the cancellation of flight EK 509 to Dubai on May 20.
Emirates said the Dubai-based airline is cooperating with Indian authorities on the matter. He said that all passengers and crew of flight EK 509 had eaten overnight and an alternative flight had been arranged for all passengers.
