An elderly man returning after voting from Surana College polling stations under Padmanavpur police station died in a road accident. The deceased is said to be Ramswaroop Thakur (90 years), a resident of Padmanabhpur. After the incident, the bike driver fled the scene. The police said that after the incident, the seriously injured elderly man was taken to the hospital for treatment. He died during treatment here. The Padmanabpur police have registered a case against the unidentified bike driver and have started searching for him.
According to the Padmanavpur police, the old man went to Surana College.
