There was also a jam on the road leading to the airport, from Argora Chowk to Doranda, from Birsa Chowk to Hatia and Dhurwa. At the same time, the effect was visible in Ratu Road as well. It was also here that a queue of vehicles was seen from late into the night. Suddenly the weight of vehicles increased on Upper Bazaar Road, Kachari Road, Main Road and Kadru Road. The problem of traffic congestion continued in many places.

Eyewitnesses said that two youths were riding a bike heading towards Bharat Mata Chowk from Imli Chowk Road in Harmu. A car hit the bike from behind near the electricity office. Because of this the balance was lost and the young man riding the bike fell on the other side of the road. At the same time, Aryan was sitting behind on the bike coming under the wheels of a bus passing nearby. He died on the spot. According to people, the bus was going from Sahajanand Chowk towards Bharat Mata Chowk towards Morabadi. There were soldiers in it.

When people raised an alarm, the driver stopped the bus after some distance. After this, the local people gathered there and the bus carrying the soldiers was stopped near the Electricity Office, Harmu. On the other hand, after receiving information about the incident, Hatia DSP PK Mishra, Kotwali DSP Prakash Soy, Argora and Kotwali police station officer reached the spot. Policemen tried to convince the locals. But, people were very angry. Their demand was that action should be taken against the culprit and compensation should be given to the family members of the deceased.

In the picture of Aryan who died in the accident, it is clear that the helmet is hanging in the elbow of his left hand. If he had worn a helmet, perhaps his life could have been saved. The second helmet lying near the body belongs to the bike driver, who narrowly escaped the accident.

The bus was carrying soldiers, the driver escaped with the car after the incident

The bus (JH01CU-4446) where the young man died after being run over, had left Mahuatand with the soldiers at 5 in the morning. The bus was passing in front of the electricity office on Ffordd Harmu at around 4.43pm, when the accident happened. Meanwhile, after the incident the driver of the car fled from the spot. Cars in Ranchi often drive straight and suddenly turn left or right to pick up or drop off passengers. Because of this, bike riders are often victims.

Remove jam after compensation assurance

The administration provided financial assistance to the family members of the deceased. Also, assurances were given to provide further compensation. After this, the protesters dispersed at 8 pm and the jam could be lifted.
