Telangana police arrested five Congress workers in the fake video file of Home Minister Amit Shah. Based on Telangana BJP’s complaint, Telangana Police’s Cyber ​​Cell arrested five persons including Telangana Social Media Coordinator Naveen and Taslima.

Telangana Congress media convener Kamal Madguni said on Thursday that the Delhi Police did not arrest him. Earlier on Tuesday, the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations Unit (IFSO) of the Delhi Police had issued summons to 16 people in seven to eight states in connection with the distribution of the exact video of Home Minister Amit Shah. In the fake video, the home minister can be heard saying that BJP is against reservation in the country. BJP called the viral clip fake.

The police asked those involved in the case to join the investigation and hand over relevant documents and electronic devices as evidence. According to police sources, those summoned include six members of the ruling Congress in Telangana, including Chief Minister Ravath Reddy. He, along with other people from several states, was asked to appear for questioning at the IFSO unit in Dwarka, Delhi on May 1. Section 160 of the CRPC empowers the police to summon a person for questioning, while Section 91 empowers the police to search for specific documents or gadgets to produce as evidence. Earlier, the Telangana unit of the BJP filed a complaint with the cyber crime police station against CM and Congress state chief Revanth Reddy.
