What is its purpose?

The purpose of reviewing these four plans is to know their scope and the reality of the benefits. The government has to see if these schemes have benefited those for whom they have been initiated. Especially the government is very aware of the insurance plans and wants to see if the private insurance companies are offering its benefits at a low premium or not. Similarly, it is also about whether the banking facilities available under the Jan Dhan scheme are reaching the people and how the people are taking advantage of it.

The sum insured may increase

Through a survey, the government wants to know the performance of the two insurance schemes launched by PMJJBY and PMSBY for the public. Whether coverage, policy renewal rate, claim settlement rate and policy delivery rate are as expected or not. Also, for whom this project was initiated or does it have any effect on the people. If necessary, changes are made in the plan and its scope can also be increased. One can also consider increasing the amount available in both the insurance plans. The government must see if the Rs 2 lakh given under this scheme is enough or if it needs to be increased.
