Alberta grain elevators are third in the national competition Achi-News

They didn’t win the top prize, but a group fighting to preserve Nanton’s three historic grain elevators managed to win some money to help their cause.

The landmark structures were among the finalists in the National Trust’s Next Great Save competition, which invited heritage groups from across Canada to make presentations about why they deserve a $50,000 grant to protect, adapt and restore their site.
