Jamshedpur The Tatanagar Railway Administration has demolished Akshay Bhawan on Friday on the orders of the High Court. The railway administration has considered Akshay Bhawan as an illegal construction. However, the leaders of the Railway Men’s Congress said that this building was constructed with the permission of the Railways Administration and that the training of railway workers and other people was being done here. The Railway Administration had recently sealed this building. After this it was decided that the railway administration could demolish this building. The railway administration arrived with two JCBs to demolish Akshay Bhawan from Friday morning itself. The building was demolished after hours of hard work. After the demolition of Akshay Bhawan, the railway administration will take over the land and develop it. The railway administration took action on the order of the court. Rajesh Kumar Verma, Additional Assistant Engineer of ADEN Tatanagar Railway, said that the illegal construction case of Akshay Bhawan is being considered in the High Court. The illegal construction was sealed after the High Court’s decision. Today steps were taken to demolish it. Regarding the box, SR Mishra said that the Men’s Congress had written to the railway administration for the transfer of Akshay Bhawan in January 2021 and on April 16, 2024, the railway administration duly took over the transfer. The Congress head office including Akshay Bhawan and the Railway Institute building, all these areas are being redeveloped in the station which will be demolished sooner or later. After the handover, whether the railway administration keeps that building or demolishes it is a matter of the administration’s discretion, the Chief Congress has nothing to do with it.
