GUWAHATI: The Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) and Raijor Dol have declared their intention to merge, as announced by Lurinjyoti Gogoi and Akhil Gogoi, respectively. The merger process is set to begin soon after the ongoing Lok Sabha elections are over.

According to media reports, Loringyoti Gogoi and Akhil Gogoi made the joint announcement regarding the merger of AJP and Raijor Dol. Raijr Dol leader Akhil Gogoi confirmed the merger, stating that the two parties would merge to form one new regional party if Lorinjyoti Gogoi wins the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
