Social media was abuzz with memes after RCB failed to reach the second elimination after being beaten by Rajasthan Royals.
It was heartbreak for Royal Challengers Bengaluru fans as they were eliminated in the Eliminator 1 clash against Rajasthan Royals, ending their six-match winning streak and ending their campaign in the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Social media was abuzz with memes doing the rounds on RCB’s exit from the tournament as their wait for that first title continues once again.
Despite fighting a total of 173, the RCB bowlers were unable to get the job done thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s brilliant work at the top followed by Riyan Parag steadying the ship through the middle stages and Rovman Powell and Shimron Hetmyer finishing things off in the end.
This fan didn’t mince his words in the slightest here.
It certainly wasn’t Glenn Maxwell’s best night. After being out for a golden duck, he also dropped a complete sitter to lose out on the wicket of Tom Kohler-Cadmore early in the second innings.

While the women’s team were able to get their hands on the crown, the men didn’t come up when it mattered most. RR were actually the better side even though some decisions went against them and they managed to hold on when the pressure was on them.
The iconic advert that was released before the start of the tournament took on a whole new meaning after this crushing defeat.
RCB fans will be really hoping that next year could be the one for them to get their hands on the elusive title for the first time in their history.
While the RCB tournament comes to an end, RR on the other hand will face the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the second eliminator which will decide who goes to the final to meet Kolkata Knight Riders and fight for the title .
