According to Bhopal Railway Division officials, Railways had shut down 43 engines at 8 stations in the division a year ago. Of these, 11 machines were installed at Bhopal station, 15 at Itarsi station, 2 at Vidisha station, 2 at Harda station, 8 at Bina station, 2 at Guna station, 2 at Guna station and 1 at Ganj Basoda station. This includes automatic and manual machines. According to the information, the tender for the machines had ended, because they have now been removed.
The facility started on platform 1 at Bhopal station.
Facility will be available soon at other stations
The tender for water vending machines was executed by IRCTC. The price per machine is more than Rs 2 lakh. Besides this, according to Railways, it was started at Bhopal station about a month ago. Because of this, thousands of travelers have had the water facility and people can also get cold water at a low cost. According to railway officials, soon the machines will also be operated in other stations in the division like Bina, Guna, Vidisha, Aubedullaganj etc.
