Dubai (UAE): The Global Village Trade Fair which is held annually in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and lasts for six months, in which Afghanistan won the second position this year, which is proud and commendable.
Young artist Mir Khan Mukuri, son of the Pashto language Bulbul-e-Afghanistan Abdullah Mukuri, says this is the first time in the last two decades that Afghanistan has come second. Works of art, Afghan clothes, dry and fresh fruits, precious stones, jewelry and food items were displayed and sold. It is worth noting that more than 3500 merchants representing 93 cultures participated in this trade and culture exhibition.
About 27 branches were opened. Every year more than seven million people come to buy and sell at this exhibition. But by keeping the name of Afghanistan bright, he won the hearts of Afghans living in different countries, as Afghanistan won the second position in the global village of Dubai, since various intellectuals of Afghanistan living in different countries are great poets of Pashto language.
There are different comments about Mir Khan Mukuri, about his immense love for his homeland Afghanistan. Indeed, the talented Abdullah Mukuri, who was proficient in the Pashto language, taught his children to love the land as well, and as a result, his son Mir Khan Mukuri also followed in his father’s footsteps, after a short hard work. A period of time, he made the name of Afghanistan shine all over the world and became a shining part of history.
In this context, Mir Khan Mukuri said that it has been years since I have been supporting the international community in showcasing the beauty of our country’s rich culture, natural resources and beautiful handicrafts.
Every year international visitors to the Dubai Global Village see Afghanistan’s unparalleled positive, innovative and loving images. It is unique to see such a picture elsewhere. It is a matter of pride that this year we won the second position at the level of this international exhibition. In other words, Afghanistan stood second among the 27 representative countries of all participating countries. I share this sense of achievement with my countrymen and it is a matter of honor for me in this effort to enlighten the country abroad. How happy my father, the talented poet Abdullah Mukuri, would have been if he had been alive.
May Allah grant his soul peace and happiness. Also, I want to thank all Afghans and friends, especially my colleague Shafik Morid, who supported me in these efforts, he concluded.
