A woman who was burned during cooking in Bogusrai died during treatment today. The incident took place in Ward No. 10 of Mosadpur in the Refinery Police Station area. The deceased woman has been identified as Lakshmi Devi (30), wife of local resident Veeru Sharma.

Family members said that on Thursday Lakshmi Devi cooked food with a gas cylinder at home. Meanwhile, her saree caught fire from behind, she ran out as soon as it caught fire and her brother-in-law was also partially burnt while extinguishing the fire. After that, severely burned Lakshmi Devi was admitted for treatment at a private hospital in the city.
