10-year-old Pelu Gop died due to drowning in Swarnarekha river near Gaur Basti under Mango police station in Jamshedpur. On Sunday night, the police took Pelu’s body out of the river with the help of local divers. Here, after receiving the information, the family members also reached the spot. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. Pelu lived with his mother in Kapali. Pelu’s father died. He lived at home with his stepbrother.
